Plot Synopsis: Conceived by Steven Spielberg, THE OTHERS is a one-hour drama that revolves around a group of people, each gifted with a connection to the paranormal, who investigate and explore supernatural events that are wondrous and horrifying.

In a college town, recent transfer student Marian Kitt (Julianne Nicholson) wakes up to a woman's sobs coming from the bathroom. She notices the bath tub is full of water and pulls the plug. Suddenly, a female corpse burst out of the water and grabs her. Professor Miles Ballard (John Billingsley) tells her that she saw the ghost of a student who committed suicide in her room the previous year. He invites Marian to join a group of "special" people with paranormal gifts who call themselves "the Others." Although Marian balks at first, her sleepless nights and a recording of her nocturnal murmurings convince her to accept the invite. The group consists of Elmer Greentree (Bill Cobbs), the founder of the group who communicates with the other side, Warren (Kevin J. O'Connor), a schizophrenic with the ability to see what others can't, Albert, a blind man whose loss of sight has enhanced his sixth sense, Satori - a.k.a. Ellen Polaski (Melissa Crider), the only one of the group who makes money with her gift, and Mark Gabriel (Gabriel S. Macht), a first year intern who is known as an "empath." Marian, who never realized her gift, finds herself in danger... and the group senses it. They believe that the apparition wants to communicate with the living world and is using Marian as her medium. Elmer escorts her to the other side to make contact, and the ghost finally finds peace. Marian accepts her gift and becomes the newest member of The Others.

Executive Producers Spielberg, Mike Ferris and John Brancato (The Game) and Director Mick Garris (Stephen King's: The Shining for ABC, Tales From The Crypt, for HBO) deliver a suspenseful supernatural thriller that not only explores our lives, but also explores what lies on the other side.
